Chinese (Traditional) Character 'FU' Fu is one of the Chinese characters that best epitomize China's time-honored culture. Fu, means fortune, blessing or happiness. In the past, the character mainly meant luck and fortune. The tradition of pasting the character Fu on walls, doors and doorposts has existed in China for a long time. The character can also be pasted upside down, because in Chinese the upside down fu is similar to the pronunciation for - Fu Dao le - which means Fu has arrived.
